Beebread (Polen Cámara de Cría)

Beebread is one of the many products, which come from the hive such as honey, royal jelly, propolis, apitoxin, beeswax, among others. However, since it is the very nutrient the larvae feed on, this product is of vital importance for the hive.
Bees collect pollen from the flowers and carry it to the hive, where it is deposited in the comb cells of the breeding chamber. Worker bees compress this pollen using their heads in order to obtain a compact mass. This mass undergoes some changes as a result of not only the high level of humidity and the high temperature inside the hive (which is around 35° C) but also because it is mixed with the bee's salivary secretions -rich in enzymes- and nectar.
This process accounts for beebread being over 100% richer in its main constituents than the flowers' natural pollen.

For over 20 years, our company has developed and optimized this extraction process whilst preserving the nutrients needed for the hive's survival.
